Jonel Hydraulics Ltd is a well-established hydraulic and engineering company which provides hydraulic and other industrial engineering solutions to a range of clients. We manufacture specialised aircraft ground support equipment and tooling as well as a wide range of other items. We repair and service industrial hydraulic equipment. 

We are seeking an experienced Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Engineer/Mechanic with hydraulics expertise to join our maintenance team. This role involves a mix of workshop and on-site airport work in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical and electrical faults on ground support equipment (GSE)

  • Perform troubleshooting, and maintenance on a wide range of GSE 

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns in a fast-paced airport environment

  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and aviation standards

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

Applicant must have the ability to: 

  • Experience with hydraulic systems and industrial equipment

  • Background in aviation, heavy vehicles, plant, or mechanical engineering will be preferred 

  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics

  • Trade qualification preferred (not essential for the right candidate)

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to work after hours as required 

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Due to security requirements, applicants must be able to pass a criminal background and drug/alcohol screening.
