We are seeking a Qualified project Builder to join our team based in New Plymouth. This is a full-time permanent role with a minimum of 30 hours per week and the pay rate for this position will be 34.00 NZD per hour. This full-time role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing construction company, working on a variety of residential projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing all aspects of construction
  • Coordinating and supervising a team of tradespeople to ensure high-quality workmanship and timely completion of projects
  • Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Liaising with subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns that arise
  • Ensuring a safe and efficient work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

  • Either a Minimum of level 6 or higher qualifications in building or construction, such as a trade certificate or diploma OR 2 years of experience working as a qualified builder
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and lead a team
  • Proficient in the use of construction-related software and tools
