Robert Harris Taupo Cafe currently look for a hardworking and reliable Baker to join our team. Working hours is between 30 and 40 hours per week. Pay rate ranges from $27 to $29 per hour.  

Suitable candidates must have the following skills and attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years (preferable 3 years) of relevant work experience 

  • Available to start work at 6.30am and can work on weekends and public holidays. 

  • Physically fit for tasks that requires physical strength such as heavy liftings or standing for extended periods.

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Have strong multitasking and organizational skills.

  • Reliable and punctual, can work independently as well as in a team.

Your duties will include:

  • Producing fresh savoury and sweet baked items.

  • Managing presentation and decoration of baked goods.

  • Monitoring baking ovens.

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and workspace.

  • Ensuring workplace safety in managing self and others.

  • Assessing and improving any products when seen fit to do so.

  • Liaising with manager on any concerns or suggestions.

  • Performing any other related duties.
