Darjeeling Management Limited is a business based in Hawke’s Bay, one of New Zealand’s most prominent horticultural regions. We are dedicated to assisting in producing high-quality pip fruit including but not limited to apples, grapes & kiwifruit for both domestic and export markets. Job Duties/ Responsibilities

• Performs routine tasks in crop cultivation and production. 
• Demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability, and cheerful outlook.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a resolute team.
• Ability to think quickly, solve problems, and resolve issues as they arise.
• Effective communication, diligence, reliability, and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to meet work demands as required.
• Comfortable and skilled working at heights.

Key Tasks

• Repair and maintain farm/orchard structures and infrastructure.
• Operating, cleaning and maintenance of farm machinery, equipment’s and vehicles.
• Maintain Irrigation and spray infrastructure.
• Mowing lawns, weeding, mulching.
• General repairs of posts and fences.

Requirements

• NZQF Level 1 education or High School or equivalent.

OR

A minimum 2 years of work experience.

• Clean and Current driver’s license (Class 1 Full) or equivalent is necessary.
• Competent computer skills and accurate record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to perform basic measurements and mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions including exposure to varying weather working around chemicals.
• Ability to work long hours and days as part of a seven-day-a-week operation, with rostered days off.
• Access to reliable transport to get to work.
• Required to undergo alcohol and drug testing at random occasions.
• No criminal history.

Desirable Skills

• Current First Aid Certificate – Level 2 holder desired.

• Heavy machinery license holder desired.

• Good understanding of business operations, including managing budgets, timelines, and teams.
• Extended hours may be required during planting and harvest periods.
