Nail Technician
K H M Limited, trading as The Lavender Lounge Nail Spa, located in Silverdale, Auckland, specialises in providing high-quality nail care and beauty services to our valued customers. We are currently seeking Experienced Nail Technicians to join our dynamic team.
The minimum and maximum rate of pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (before tax).
The minimum guaranteed hours of work: 30 hours per week.
The maximum hours of work: 45 hours per week.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning, shaping, and polishing fingernails and toenails as per customer's instructions.
- Providing hand and foot massages, scrubs, and treatments.
- Applying artificial nails, nail extensions, gel nails, or acrylics.
- Designing and decorating nails with nail art techniques and accessories.
- Consulting with clients to determine nail preferences and desired outcomes.
- Advising clients on nail care, including home care tips and product recommendations.
- Sterilizing and maintaining tools and equipment according to health and safety standards.
- Ensuring cleanliness of the work area.
- Building relationships with clients to encourage repeat visits.
- Ensuring a pleasant experience for each client.
- Recommending nail care products to clients.
The minimum qualification and work experience requirements:
- A relevant NZQF Level 4 Qualification in Nail Arts; OR
-At least two years of relevant work experience..
Other skills required:
- Proficiency in nail care techniques (manicures, pedicures, gel/acrylic application).
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and creativity in nail art.
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently.
- Flexible to work with a rotating roster, including late nights, weekends and public holidays.
