Work Location: Auckland Region

Employment type: Full time (minimum 30 hours/per week, Monday to Friday), Permanent role

Our pay: $29.00-$35.00 per hour depending on skills and experience

We are a construction company based in Auckland

We are now looking for 3 Metal Fabricators to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people and will allow access into a reputable and experienced company.

Tasks you may carry out:

·      Interpreting drawings and reading and understanding all instructions before starting each job

·      Identifying and selecting the right materials, cleaning and preparing metal stock

·      Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, and metal cutting machines

·      Fitting and assembling metal components

·      Fabricating parts together and metal finishing as specified

·      Attaching fittings and completing the product build

·      Quality checks on completed products

·      Cleaning the product and completing final quality checks against specifications

·      At all times using supplied PPE.

·      Keeping work stations clean, tidy and safe;

·      Assisting team members in other sections as directed.

To be successful you will need to:

• Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the same field or industry, or
• Have a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates,
• Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
• Be physically fit and willingness to work hard

·      Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively

·      Have "can-do" attitude
