We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with an accounting or finance background to join our shop. This role combines appointment management with bookkeeping and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
New Zealand citizens or residents will get extra credit.
The job is fulltime permanent and in Auckland. The minimum work will be 30 hours pw and maximum will be 45 hours pw. The minimum wage is $32.00ph and maximum wage will be 38ph. There will be one and half overtime payment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Issue receipts and maintain proper financial documentation for all transactions

Reconcile daily sales and balance the cash drawer at the end of each business day
- Process and accurately record all client payments (EFTPOS, cash, and online) in the booking and accounting systems

Prepare daily and weekly sales and income reports for business monitoring

Record and maintain accurate entries of sales, expenses, and petty cash transactions

Track and manage outstanding balances owed to the business, including prepaid massage packages, gift vouchers, and importantly, free massage vouchers for returning or loyal clients

Maintain records of stock levels and costs for massage oils, products, and supplies

Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial summaries and reports

Liaise with external accountants and management to support financial reporting and compliance requirements
Skills and Experience Required

A formal qualification in accounting, such as a bachelor’s degree, is desirable.
