Malwa Transport 2023 Limited is Looking for two Truck drivers. The applicant for the position of must hold NZ class 2 or equvalent driver license.

Pay Rate: $28 to $31 per hour depending on experience

Location : New Plymouth

Minimum Hours : 30 per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and operate Class 2 curtain slider trucks and transport goods safely to their destination.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations,
  • parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • To ensure the truck is loaded appropriately and materials recorded correctly
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations
  • Ensure goods are packed securely and safely for delivery
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
  • Scanning the delivered items for record
  • Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions

Key Requirements:

  • Must have 6 months experience or any level 2 qualification.
  • Able to pass drug and alcohol test randomly
  • Available for weekends and day/night shifts and early mornings start (3am)
  • Flexible for working between minimum 30 to maximum 70 hours weekly.
  • Class 2 License
  • Forklift License and DG Endorsemnt.
