Hydro-Vac Truck Driver

Our Civil and earthworks client is looking for a Hydro Excavation Operator to join their team.

About the Job:

As a Hydro-Vac Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a high-pressure water jet with a powerful vacuum system. This specialized truck is used for excavation, debris removal, and other tasks where traditional digging methods are unsafe or impractical.

Key responsibilities include:

• Safely operating hydro excavation and vacuum trucks to expose underground utilities, clear debris, and support essential infrastructure maintenance.
• Servicing wastewater plants, pump stations, and public facilities to ensure smooth operations.

The Details:

• Hours: Monday to Friday + on-call shifts.
• Pay: $30+ per hour.
• Location: Hastings.

What You Need:

• Class 4F NZ truck license (clean record).
• Physically fit & experienced in operating machinery.
• Can pass a drug test.
• Eligible to work in NZ.
• Bonus: Dangerous Goods license (not required but great to have).
