Job Details:

Location: Auckland
Hours: Full-time Permanent_ 30 to 40 hours rostered shifts including week ends ( 8am to 5 pm)
Pay Rate: $25-$32 per hour, depending on experience & skills. 

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Car Groomer to join our team. If you take pride in cleanliness, thrive working with vehicles, and want to help present cars to the highest standard, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspects vehicles to identify areas that require cleaning and detailing

  • Consults with customers regarding detailing services and provides quotes

  • Washes and cleans the exteriors of vehicles using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment

  • Vacuums, cleans and removes stains and odours from the interiors of vehicles, including seats, carpets and upholstery

  • Cleans and polishes windows, mirrors, other glass surfaces, chrome and other metal surfaces of vehicles

  • Touches up paint work on vehicles to restore their appearance

  • Performs final inspections to ensure vehicles are clean and presentable for private or commercial usage, sale or rent

  • Identify any vehicle damage and report to supervising staff

  • Possibly move / drive or position vehicles around the lot or wash bay, following safety protocols

Requirements

  • Previous experience in vehicle grooming/detailing or similar cleaning role preferred

  • Full, clean driver’s licence (or valid driver’s licence) required

  • Physical fitness: able to kneel, climb, bend, work outdoors in different weather

  • Must be able to pass random drug & alcohol test

  • Must disclose all convictions as they will be considered on a case by case basis

  • Must be punctual and be able to work extra hours if required

  • Must be able to work rostered shifts and available to work on week ends and public holidays

  • Must provide CV with at least two work related contactable referees

  • Good eye for detail; commitment to quality finish

  • Reliable, punctual, with good time management

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
