We are a rapidly growing aluminium procurement and supply company. Due to increasing business demand and expansion of our operations, we are seeking five skilled Welders in Christchurch to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
  • Selecting and preparing appropriate welding equipment and materials
  •  Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components using hand tools and welding equipment
  •  Performing various welding techniques on aluminium materials
  • Examining welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision
  • Finishing welds using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring safe operation
  • Adhering to workplace health and safety regulations
  • Collaborating with team members to meet production deadlines

 

About you: 

  • At least two years of relevant work experience in related field OR;
  • A qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 qualification or above
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
