Job Description:
• Preparation, seasoning, and cooking of food
• Portioning food and adding dressings to ensure excellent presentation
• Able to meet any special dietary food requirements
• Must be able to cook all authentic Indian curries and tandoori dishes
• Checking the food quality of raw and cooked foods
• May plan the menu and estimate food requirements with the consultation of the manager
• Regulating temperature-controlled cooking equipments
• Labelling and storing of all the produce in the chiller
• May train kitchen staff
• Minimising waste and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• Ensuring personal hygiene and maintaining high standards of health and safety
