We're excited to find fit, reliable, and punctual workers to join us for the upcoming 2026 planting season. This is a fixed-term role for seven months, but if you show a strong work ethic and enjoy being part of a team in the great outdoors, it could lead to full-time opportunities. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you today!
No experience needed — we're here to support you with thorough training every step of the way. Here's a little about what you'll be doing:
Planting - The planting season begins in June, and it's a wonderful time to help restore and grow forests. To participate, you'll need to be in good shape, as the job involves carrying about 100 seedlings—around 20 kg—in a pack on your back. You'll also use a shovel to plant them as you go along. Some areas are quite hilly and steep, so a good level of fitness will really help you enjoy the process and do your best.
Weed Control to help keep your plantations healthy by carefully removing weeds, whether with a chainsaw, machete, or gentle chemical sprays. Our team is dedicated to making the process smooth and effective for you.
Scrub cutting involves using a scrub bar to gently remove small trees and weeds, helping maintain a healthy, tidy landscape.
Firefighting involves creating fire tracks in vulnerable areas to help prevent and manage fires, along with duties such as maintaining a lookout to stay alert and respond quickly.
All these duties happen out in the beautiful back country. The terrain can be tough at times, and we brave all sorts of weather, showing just how dedicated and resilient we are.
