We are seeking a capable and experienced Orchard Fruit Production Supervisor to join our
commercial orchard operation in the Waikato region.
Our orchard operation comprises of over 30 hectares of kiwifruit across four separate sites in
the greater Waikato area (Te Awamutu and Cambridge).
This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating orchard production activities to
ensure efficient and high-quality fruit output across multiple sites.


Key Responsibilities- Orchard Production Supervisor
 Supervising and coordinating orchard production operations, including planting,
pruning, thinning, spraying and harvesting
 Planning daily and seasonal work programmes in consultation with management
 Leading and supervising orchard staff and contractors to ensure productivity
and quality standards are met
 Monitoring crop health, irrigation, fertiliser programmes and pest/disease control
measures
 Ensuring compliance with spray plans, environmental requirements and industry
standards
 Training orchard staff in orchard procedures, machinery use and health & safety
requirements
 Monitoring fruit quality, yield targets and production timelines
 Maintaining records relating to production, chemical use and staffing
 Ensuring compliance with all workplace health and safety obligations
Remuneration


Pay rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (depending on experience).
Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed.
Seasonal early starts and weekend work may be required.


Skills and Experience Required

Applicants must have:
 At least 3 years of relevant experience in commercial fruit production or orchard
operations
 Strong knowledge of orchard production cycles, spray programmes and crop
management
 Good organisational and leadership skills
 Ability to interpret production plans and implement operational strategies
 Understanding of health and safety and environmental compliance
A Grow Safe Certificate would be beneficial.
