Job Details:

Location: Tauranga (and surrounding Bay of Plenty as required) 

Employment type: Permanent, Full-time 

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week (work is rostered Mon–Sun; start/finish times vary  depending on jobs) 

Pay rate: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour (depending on skills, reliability and performance) 

About the role 

We are a busy furniture moving and delivery business. We are looking for reliable Moving  Helpers to assist our removalist team with day-to-day moving, loading, deliveries, and customer  service. 

Key tasks and responsibilities 

• Assist with loading and unloading furniture, household goods, and cartons safely and  efficiently 

• Pack, wrap, and protect items (using blankets, straps, shrink wrap, and packing  materials) to prevent damage 

• Help with moving items into and out of homes/offices, including stairs and tight access  areas 

• Support the driver/lead mover with job preparation, vehicle loading order, and safe  unloading 

• Help assemble/disassemble basic furniture where required (beds, tables, shelving)

• Follow Health & Safety instructions and safe manual handling techniques at all times 

• Use moving equipment safely (trolleys, dollies, straps, ramps) and keep the truck/work  areas tidy 

• Provide polite, professional customer service on site and follow instructions from the  supervisor 

• Complete basic job paperwork/checklists as required (delivery notes, damage checks,  time sheets) 

Requirements 

• No work experience or qualifications required — full training will be provided

• Physically fit and able to lift/carry items as part of a team 

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions 

• Able to work rostered hours and weekends when required 

• NZ or overseas diving License is advantageous
