A reputable and long-standing construction company, Leader Garden Limited, is expanding its workforce to support its continued rapid growth. We are currently seeking Solid Plasterers and welcome applications for this role.

Job description

  • determining the layout of plasterboard, and installing insulation and vapour barriers
  • measuring, marking, and cutting plasterboard; lifting and positioning sheets; and fastening them to walls, ceilings, and battens
  • preparing and installing corner beads in the correct position
  • installing plaster and paper cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres, and other decorative plaster features
  • covering joints and screw heads with wet plaster and sealing compounds, then smoothing surfaces with wet brushes and sandpaper
  • mixing and applying layers of plaster, cement, and render to structures using trowels, and levelling and smoothing each coat to an even thickness
  • aligning and straightening corners, angles, and wall and ceiling surfaces to ensure accurate finishes
  • producing decorative textures on final finishing coats
  • applying and finishing acoustic, insulating, and fire-resistant materials
  • applying decorative and protective plaster, cement, and similar finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces of structures
  • carrying out any other reasonable tasks as directed by the employer

  • Location: Auckland
  • Job type: Full-time Permanent
  • Pay rate: from $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
  • Days required: 5-6 days/week, roaster may apply
  • Hours per week: At least 30

Job Requirement

·        Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, or a relevant NZ level 4 qualification, or an equivalent overseas qualification is required, or hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
