We have an exciting opportunity for an Chargeback Controller based in Ellerslie. You will be working for a large multinational company and this role has the potential to become a permanent position after the 12 month temporary assisgnment.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of customer claims (chargebacks) and all credit related administration of selected customers as nominated by management. 

This role is full time Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chargeback control - contact customers regarding chargebacks deducted, ensure all co-op claims have sufficient proof/evidence of event, prompt collection of rejected claims.
  • Ensure all chargebacks are correctly coded, all unidentified chargeback’s are correctly coded within 24 hours of deduction and follow up with relative departments for unresolved claims.
  • Customer Maintence - forward copies of invoices, credit notes & PODs to customer as requested.
  • Data Entry / Payment Allocation / Order release - all payments are entered into system and allocated as per customer remittance on the same day as payment is received.
  •  Credit Note generation (Selected Pricing, Rebate , Damage Allowance)
  •  Other duties as required. 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum experience 1 year in a Chargeback Controller role in a large company where the main focus is to control accounts.
  • Good telephone and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of transport/logistics procedures
  • Strong work ethic with a desire and commitment for credit collection and claims control.
  • Intermediate word/Excel skills.
  • Good negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Good time management and follow up skills.
  • Attention to detail is paramount.
