We are looking for an experienced chef.

Responsibilities

·       Prepare the kitchen by organizing cooking utensils and equipment.

·       Prepare and cook food efficiently and within designated timeframes.

·       Oversee the daily preparation of food and manage kitchen operations effectively.

·       Adjust recipes to accommodate specific customer requests or dietary needs.

·       Monitor inventory levels and place orders to replenish stocks as needed.

·       Innovate by experimenting with new recipes and suggesting alternative ingredients.

·       Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen.

·       Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation at all times.

·       Ensure consistency in both quality control and portion sizes.

·       Manage food costs responsibly.

·       Guarantee full compliance with the New Zealand Food Control Plan (FCP).

·       Uphold rigorous hygiene, cleanliness, and Health & Safety protocols.

·       Minimize waste and seek opportunities to improve kitchen efficiency.

·       Provide support and training to kitchen staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least two year experience of working in a professional kitchen.
  • Our restaurant specialises in Nepalese cuisine, especially momos. An ideal applicant must have some experience with Nepalese cuisine.

We will offer at least 30 hours per week.
