We are a leading liquor importer & wholesale business in New Zealand, supplying premium spirits, wines, and craft beers to liquor stores, bars and restaurants nationwide. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Warehouse Logistics Manager to manage our B2B logistics and supply chain department.

Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organising, controlling and coordinating the storage, distribution, and shipping of our liquor products.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • NZQF Level 7 Graduate Diploma in Business Management or Resource Management
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Warehouse/Logistics Administrator
  • Minimum 1 year experience in B2B wholesale & distribution in the liquor industry
  • Must hold a valid Forklift Operator Certificate

Optional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in XERO software to handle inventory, shipping, and dispatching will be preferred
  • Holding a valid Class-2 New Zealand Driver Licence would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of world whiskies and wine would be an additional advantage
  • Strong experience in customer service and sales would be an additional advantage

Other Job Details:

  • Minimum Weekly Hours: 30 Hours
  • Maximum Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
  • Must be ready to work in a 7-day rostered week operation

Job Description:

  • Plan, organise, coordinate, and control the storage, distribution, and dispatch of wholesale liquor products to liquor stores, bars and restaurants nationwide
  • Managing and maintaining the warehouse and dispatch areas for best efficiency
  • Ensure that all incoming and outgoing products comply with the MPI standards
  • Planning and developing procurement and inventory systems on monthly basis, by evaluating current stock levels and monthly sales forecast
  • Organise and coordinate monthly stock takes and filing stock reports
  • Design and implement purchasing plan to maintain optimum stock level, to meet the inventory levels required for the targeted sales orders
  • Monitor and review purchasing policies and plans to meet any deficit in stock
  • Liaise with marketing team to develop and implement plans to control stock levels
  • Manage and review storage and inventory systems to maintain optimum stock level
  • Ensure proper recording of consignment tracking information
  • Liaise with the transport contractors to ensure the timely collection of goods
  • Liaising with the customers on orders and deliveries
  • Assisting marketing and sales staff in processing of orders, samples or supplies
  • Arrange dispatch of goods to meet sales orders by best freight method
  • Maintaining recording system for receipt and storage of inwards goods
  • Monitor quality of goods and processes in accordance with Food Safety requirement
  • Maintaining of all necessary records including accurate & timely stock levels
  • Manage stock and inventory control and recording of data using Xero software
  • Ensure all inwards and outwards goods are quality checked at all times
  • Ensure timely processing and POS packaging of bulk shipments
  • Providing courteous and prompt service when in contact with customers
  • Always work in strict accordance with the Health & Safety standards
