SK Building is an Auckland Albany-based construction company offering a range of construction services from Residential new builds and renovations to commercial projects.

We are looking for two full-time carpenters.

 
Responsibilities

•    Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
•    Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements
•    Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre‐constructed items
•    Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible
•    Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
•    Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
•    Build scaffolding and other construction structures
•    Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements

Key Skills

  • at least 3 years of relevant work experience or relevant diploma qualification
  • Knowledge of building methods and materials
  • Skilled in finishing and fit-out work
  • Effective time management skills including the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good at working as part of a team

What we are offering:

  • Full time: Max 48 hours - Minimum 30 hours per week 
  • Hourly rate $35 - $36 depending on experiences
