Civil machine operators wanted for Auckland projects. Good crews, solid sites, proper seat time. $30 to $36 per hour based on experience.
Why Apply
If you’re sick of being called an “operator” but spending half the day on a shovel, this is different.
• $30 to $36 per hour depending on experience
• Civil projects across Auckland
• Real seat time on machines, not just labouring
• Well-maintained gear and organised sites
• Work with experienced foremen and capable crews
• Exposure to drainage, roading, subdivisions and site prep
This suits operators who want to be respected for their skill, not used as extra labour.
The Role
You’ll be operating machinery across a range of civil construction sites throughout Auckland.
Your day-to-day may include:
• Operating excavators, loaders and rollers
• Trenching, drainage, backfilling and bulk earthworks
• Assisting with roading prep and site cuts
• Daily pre-starts and basic machine upkeep
• Working closely with ground crews to keep jobs moving safely
This is proper civil work where your operating ability actually matters.
What We Need
• Proven civil machine operating experience
• WTR endorsement and relevant NZ licence
• Confident around services, trenches and tight sites
• Strong safety awareness and respect for gear
• Reliable, consistent work history
If you can jump in the cab, read the job, and get it done without babysitting, you’ll do well here.
Why This Role
You’ll get steady civil exposure across different Auckland projects with crews that know what they’re doing. No chaos. No guesswork. Just solid site standards and good work.
