Our busy painting company based in Arrowtown is hiring 2 hard-working Painters to work around our big coming projects in the Otago Region.

We offer competitive rate from $27 to $32 per hour, minimum 30 to 40 hours a week.

Your duties include:

  • ·      Check cracks and marks and prepare, clean surfaces for painting.
  • ·      Cover floors, doors and furniture, remove the fixtures before works.
  • ·      Assemble and diassemble scaffolds, load and unload or move paints, tools, equipment, machine and construction materials around the sites.
  • ·      Set up ventilators.
  • ·      Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping using sandpaper, removing old paint coatings,…
  • ·      Mix paints or oils to the correct required colour.
  • ·      Apply paints and various of finishes, primers, sealers to buildings, rooms, or other structure, using painbrushes, rollers or sprayers
  • ·      Apply decorative finishes
  • ·      Monitor inventory and supplies and report the shortage to supervisors.
  • ·      Remove the covers, clean the sites after works, maintain work tools, rushes, rollers and machines daily in a responsible and safe manner after the work is done
  • ·      Refix the fixtures after work.
  • ·      Follow health and safety regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • ·      At least 2 years relevant experience or a level 4 relevant qualification and above.
  • ·      Have great interest in working in construction or become a professional painter.
  • ·      Polite, punctual and hard-working
  • ·      Great attention to details and always alert to ensure safety
  • ·      We need workers who can work from Monday to Saturday
  • ·      Construct Sites may assigned urine test and drug test anytime if needed
  • ·      Full driver license. You might have to travel by your vehicle - company pay driving time and cost if distance longer than +50km away. Pick up and drop off can be considered per sites and project. We are not ready yet to support work vehicle.
