Machine Operator – Paving

The team in Auckland is looking for permanent full-time Machine Operators to join the Asphalt Paving crew.

You will be joining one of the paving crews who are skilled in asphalt and work the majority of the time on public roads and motorways. No two days will be the same!

You'll be operating a range of equipment ranging from rollers, pavers, graders, tractor brooms and trucks. There is also the opportunity to up-skill within this department.

This is a full time, permanent role working a minimum of 40 hours per week between Monday and Sunday, inclusive. You will be based in Auckland region. You may also be required to travel or relocate to these other regions including Waikato, Hawke's Bay, Manawatu-Whanganui, Bay of Plenty, Wellington.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Minimum full Class 1 Drivers License or overseas equivalent
• Minimum 1-years’ experience in operating one or more of the following
  - Roller
  - Paver, Chip Sealing
  - Grader
  - Tractor Broom, Trucks 

• Minimum 2-year roading and infrastructure experience
• Prefer WTR licence or overseas equivalent
• Prefer with knowledge on First Aid Qualification and Bitumen Safety course 
• Able to work nights / stay aways as required
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to think for yourself
• A high level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the role
• Be reliable, honest and a flexible team player

The successful applicant will be required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing along with a health check – you’ll need to be fit for work!
