THE OPTIMUM CREW LIMITED are on the lookout for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Residential painters. We are a growing residential painting company known for high-quality finishes and strong client relationships. We are looking for an experienced painter to join our growing team.

This is a full time position with a minimum of 35 hours/week working on residential re-paints and new build projects across Auckland. We Value workmanship, efficiency and professionalism on every job.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Applies paint, varnish, wallpaper and other finishes to protect, maintain and decorate surfaces of buildings and structures. 
  • erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
  • preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holesand cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
  • selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil,and thinning and drying additives
  • applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays hanging wallpaper, matching patterns and trimming edges
  • cleaning equipment and work areas
  • may repair windows and replace glass in wooden and metal frames

The Ideal Candidate:

  • NZQF Level 4 qualifi cation (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) or 3 years of relevant experience (Proven Residential paining experience)

  • High standard of preparation and finishing

  • Reliable, Punctual and professional presentation

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Full drivers Licence

  • Must have own vehicle

  • Spraying and plastering experience is and advantage

  • Registration or licensing required.
