Position Overview
We are seeking a creative, strategic, and results-driven Marketing Specialist to join our team at Wedance.
This role is responsible for identifying market opportunities and advising on the development, coordination, and implementation of marketing strategies to promote Wedance’s programs, workshops, performances, and community activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening brand awareness, increasing student enrolments, and expanding our presence in the arts education sector.
The Marketing Specialist will contribute to business growth through structured marketing planning, campaign management, and performance analysis, ensuring that all initiatives align with organisational goals and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify market opportunities through research, competitor analysis, audience insights, and emerging trends in the dance and performing arts sector.
- Advise management on marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to effectively reach target audiences and maximise enrolment in programs.
- Develop and implement marketing plans to promote classes, workshops, performances, and special events, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Coordinate the production of marketing campaigns, including copywriting, visual content, media scripting, social media management, and placement of promotional materials, within timeframes and budgets.
- Monitor marketing performance metrics, analyse engagement and enrolment data, and prepare reports with actionable recommendations for future campaigns.
- Research potential demand and audience characteristics for new and existing programs and services, collecting and analysing statistical information to guide marketing initiatives.
- Advise on marketing elements including program positioning, pricing strategies, promotional activities, sales approaches, distribution channels, and digital marketing platforms.
- Create engaging marketing content including copy, visuals, videos, and campaign materials tailored to Wedance’s audience.
- Manage and grow digital marketing channels, including social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), website content, and newsletters.
- Coordinate marketing activities with internal staff, external partners, and service providers to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and events.
- Support student recruitment drives, community engagement initiatives, and event marketing to enhance brand visibility.
- Ensure consistency of brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing communications.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of relevant marketing experience

Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and social media platforms

Location: Auckland
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 30–40 hours per week. Weekend work may be required during events or promotional campaigns.
