Delivery Drivers

Roopansh Transport Limited is seeking two reliable and motivated Delivery Drivers to join our company in the Wellington region. The Delivery Driver will be required to travel within the Hawke's Bay area and occasionally to nearby regions such as Wellington for work. All work-related travel and fuel expenses will be fully covered by the employer.

Position: Delivery Driver

Hourly Rate: $25 - $30

Minimum Hours: 30 per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, transport, and deliver goods safely and efficiently to customers.
• Plan delivery routes based on time efficiency, traffic conditions, and customer requirements.
• Verify delivery instructions, confirm delivery locations, and obtain delivery confirmations or signatures as required.
• Follow assigned schedules, manage delivery deadlines, and report any delays or issues to the operations team.
• Inspect delivery vehicles daily to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness, and compliance with maintenance and safety standards.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or shifting during transport.
• Handle goods with care, especially perishable or fragile items, in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
• Comply with all relevant road safety, transport, and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members, representing the company in a courteous and responsible manner.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods where necessary.

Requirements:

• Must be available to work weekends and night shifts, as the business operates on a 24/7rotating roster 
• Hold a valid Class 1 or equivalent driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Pre-employment drug testing is required.
• Demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills
• Physically fit and capable of handling the demands of the role, including lifting, loading,and unloading items
• Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality service
