About the role:

  • Location: Alexander Street, Greymouth
  • Employment Type: Part-time, Permanent
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (may vary)
  • 8 am to 3 pm (may vary)

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a key member of our operations team, you’ll take on a variety of responsibilities across warehousing and delivery. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and is ready to roll up their sleeves.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse:

  • Picking and packing orders for customers
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods
  • Barcode, price, and document all inwards stock
  • Manage discrepancies and ensure quality standards are met
  • Keep freezer, chiller and storeroom clean and tidy at all times.

Delivery Operations

  • Operate delivery vehicles (vans and trucks) safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring secure and timely deliveries
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and provide excellent customer service
  • Familiarity with Greymouth and the surrounding areas is a bonus

Operational Support

  • Assist with truck loading and dispatch
  • Process invoices and support dispatch operations
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and stock rotation (FIFO)
  • Perform heavy lifting and general warehouse duties

Health & Safety

  • Follow all health, safety, and food safety protocols
  • Monitor expiry dates and ensure product freshness

What We’re Looking For:

We’re after a reliable, proactive team player who’s ready to hit the ground running. While experience in warehousing or food distribution is a plus, it’s your attitude and work ethic that matter most.

Essential:

  • Class 1 Full Driver’s Licence (manual transmission preferred)
  • Forklift License is preferred
  • Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office and ability to learn SAGE)
  • Good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
  • Clean driving and criminal record
  • NZ citizenship, residency, or valid work visa

Desirable:

  • Previous warehouse or pick-packing experience
  • Knowledge of food products and NZ work experience
  • Flexibility to work overtime or additional shifts when required
