Excavator Operator

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our team in Auckland.

This is a permanent, full-time role (min 40 hours per week) offering an hourly rate of $30–$35, depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Ensure equipment is properly prepared, set up, and ready for operation.
•    Operate and navigate machinery as required.
•    Use controls to perform tasks such as excavating, drilling, levelling, compacting, and transporting materials like soil and rock.
•    Carry out operations related to road construction, excavation, and material handling.
•    Oversee the equipment's performance, making necessary control adjustments to maximise efficiency and ensure coworker safety.
•    Operate machinery using both manual methods and electronic or digital systems.
•    Adhere closely to verbal and written instructions to maintain exceptional work standards.
•    Keep equipment clean and well-maintained, performing minor repairs and adjustments as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience 

• Strong understanding of health and safety practices in construction/earthworks environments

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
