This is a full-time permanent trade position responsible for structural repair and restoration of marine vessels.

Duties include hull grinding, transom repairs, reinforcement repairs, fibreglass laminating, composite repairs, core replacement, gelcoat restoration, installation of marine fittings, and ensuring vessels are structurally sound and compliant with marine industry standards.

The role requires practical trade competency, the ability to interpret repair specifications, and adherence to health and safety requirements across marina, hardstand and workshop environments.

 

Minimum Requirements:

A relevant trade qualification in Boat Building, Marine Construction or Composite Fabrication (Level 4 or higher)


OR

A minimum of three (3) years full-time, relevant industry experience.


Applicants must also demonstrate:

Proven experience in fibreglass laminating and composite construction.
Ability to interpret repair specifications and technical instructions.
Knowledge of marine construction methods and safe working practices.
Physical capability to perform manual trade work including lifting, grinding and laminating.

32.5 hours minimum guaranteed per week, Mon - Fri
