Tejinder Singh Bajwa, a courier company, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate our business operations across Masterton, Wellington. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced transport environment, and committed to ensuring efficient, safe, and well-maintained fleet operations.


Key Duties:
• Oversee and coordinate daily courier and delivery operations to ensure services are carried out efficiently and on schedule.
• Develop delivery plans and optimise routes to maximise productivity and meet customer timeframes.
• Lead the recruitment, training, and supervision of drivers and operational staff to maintain high performance standards.
• Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and compliant with road safety regulations and transport laws.
• Monitor operational expenses, including fuel consumption and fleet costs, to support financial targets and profitability.
• Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and industry regulations.
• Address delivery disruptions, service issues, and customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational efficiency and service quality.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to support business growth and service reliability.
• Use transport management systems and logistics software to manage route scheduling, track deliveries, and generate reports.
• Compile and present operational and financial reports to senior management as required.
• Assist with additional operational duties to ensure the smooth running of the transport business.


Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be paid between $32-40 per hour.

Requirements for the Role

• Strong planning, organisational, and time-management skills to manage multiple operational priorities.
• Clear and professional communication skills for effective liaison with drivers, clients, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced transport environment.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and compliance with transport regulations.
• Flexibility to work weekends or outside standard hours as required by operational demands.
