KBR Telecommunications Limited is looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day field and delivery operations across the Wellington region. This is a key leadership role where you’ll drive performance, streamline processes, and ensure our teams deliver high-quality outcomes safely, on time, and to a consistently high standard.

Key Duties:  

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day courier and delivery activities to ensure all jobs are completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.

• Create delivery schedules and design efficient routes to improve productivity and meet customer expectations.

• Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise drivers and operations staff to maintain strong performance and service standards.

• Ensure fleet vehicles are well maintained, roadworthy, and compliant with relevant transport legislation and safety requirements.

• Track and control operating costs such as fuel usage, repairs, and fleet-related expenses to support profitability and budget targets.

• Maintain full compliance with workplace health and safety obligations and industry regulations.

• Respond quickly and professionally to delays, disruptions, customer complaints, and service issues to minimise impact and maintain satisfaction.

• Set, monitor, and report on KPIs to measure delivery performance, efficiency, and service quality.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors to support consistent service and business growth.

• Use transport management systems and logistics software to schedule routes, monitor deliveries, and produce operational reports.

• Prepare and present regular operational and financial reporting for senior leadership as required.

• Support wider operational tasks as needed to ensure the smooth and effective running of the transport operation.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be paid between $32-40 per hour.

Requirements for the Role

• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience .  

• Strong planning, organisational, and time-management skills to manage multiple operational priorities.

• Clear and professional communication skills for effective liaison with drivers, clients, service providers, and internal stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced transport environment.

• Commitment to workplace health and safety and compliance with transport regulations.

• Flexibility to work weekends or outside standard hours as required by operational demands.
