Position Title: Fruit Production Supervisor
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Pay Rate: $28 – $34 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

 

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience or Level 4 Qualification.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily orchard tasks including pruning, thinning, canopy work, and vine training.
  • Monitor plant and vine health, pest/disease risks, irrigation, and crop load.
  • Allocate daily tasks to workers and monitor output and work quality.
  • Train staff in safe horticultural practices and orchard techniques.
  • Support planning and execution of seasonal orchard programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with orchard health & safety standards.
  • Oversee safe use, storage, and maintenance of orchard tools and machinery.
  • Maintain daily logs, orchard records, and productivity reports.
  • Conduct quality checks to protect fruit grade and orchard performance.
  • Report orchard progress, challenges, and resource needs to management.
