Farm manager wanted

We are a vegetable growing business. Our director is seeking a qualified farm manager to have full authority to manage and operate their farm located in South Auckland.

As the manager, you will be able to work independently on managerial duties, in details, to plan, organise, control, and coordinate overall operations of the farm. There will be a Greenhouse Operations Supervisor and three Greenhouse Workers under your leadership.

You should have strength in team management, business acumen and analysis, and communication skills. On-job training will be available to teach you the relevant knowledge in relation to our products to grow. Agricultural knowledge is a bonus, and a higher band of pay would be provided in return.

We need 1 candidate.

Key information about the role:

• Location: South Auckland, New Zealand
• Job Type: Full-time
• Term/Duration: Permanent
• Pay and benefits: hourly pay between $27 and $48 (will be paid fortnightly)
• Hours a week: 30 hours

We are seeking a managerial candidate. Key requirements include the following:

• You should have education background relevant to Management, commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher level. Work experience relevant to Management can also substitute this.
• You should have work experience relevant to Management, for at least 5 years (work experience is preferred). Education background relevant to Management can also substitute this.
• In addition, you should be able to demonstrate your knowledge and/or skill through our assessment.
• Working at our farm’s physical location is required.
• Keep high standard of professionalism and safety.
• Be a team player and have good inter-personal skills.
• Be able to work on weekends and public holidays if required.
