Trade assistants - Prefabricated Plant Room New Plymouth
What’s the opportunity?
To fill roles as motivated and hands-on trade assistants in our prefabricated plant room facility in New Plymouth. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality prefabricated plantrooms and switch rooms that support critical electrical and mechanical building services. Working primarily within our Entec manufacturing facilities and occasionally on client sites, you’ll be part of a skilled team bringing complex mechanical and electrical systems to life. The job we have on offer.
We are looking for full time trade assistants to carry out mechanical manufacturing and installation roles. The role includes assisting with the installation of electrical building services, mechanical equipment, and supporting systems. You will work collaboratively within a team to deliver quality-driven outcomes whilst meeting or exceed productivity targets. The role also includes full compliance with HSE requirements and applicable regulations and standards. You will also contribute to general project activities as required in a dynamic, project-focused business
To be considered for this role you would need:
• proven electromechanical skills in industry
• a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach
• a commitment to safety and quality
• an ability to work effectively in a team environment
• an attention to detail, especially when reviewing and marking up drawings
• a proactive mindset and willingness to support wider project needs
• to complete tasks accurately, safely, and on schedule
• a high-quality output that meets industry standards and client expectations
• a positive contribution to team performance and project delivery
• building experience would be an advantage
Remuneration will be by way of competitive salary, dependent on qualifications, relevant experience, and any other skills you can bring to the business. Most of the work will be centred around Taranaki with the need to commit to short stints working away from home periodically.
