Join Our Growing Team in Auckland!

We are a young, dynamic construction company based in Auckland, and we are looking for motivated and skilled Digger Operators to join our team. We have multiple positions available with competitive pay and flexible hours.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operate earthmoving machines to carry out large-scale and precision excavation work.

  • Prepare machines for operation by selecting, fitting, and installing the appropriate attachments.

  • Read and interpret detailed construction and civil engineering plans and position machines accordingly.

  • Operate and control machines to cut, excavate, break, drill, level, compact, and gouge out the ground.

  • Operate machines to fill, move, load, and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil, and other materials.

  • Manipulate machine attachments using manual, electronic, or hydraulic controls.

  • Perform routine safety checks on machines and adjust controls to ensure safe operation and the safety of other workers on site.

  • Carry out preventative maintenance on machines as required.

  • Follow verbal instructions and construction drawings to ensure work is performed accurately and efficiently.

  • Clean, lubricate, refuel, adjust, and carry out minor repairs on machines when required.

Requirements: 

  • At least two years of relevant work experience, supported by appropriate evidence. (experience gained in the same industry will be considered as meeting the experience requirements) 

  • Relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential.

  • Physically fit and able to handle manual and physically demanding work.

  • Demonstrated high-quality workmanship with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices.

  • Job Salary : $29.00 – 32.00 

  • Full time:  30 - 50 hours per week

  • Working place: Auckland Region
