DESTINY HOMES LIMITED is rooted in the building industry with over 10 years of hands-on experience. We have built a reputation for quality craftsmanship, transparent communication, and reliable delivery. Due to the increasing business needs, two experienced Carpenters are needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of carpentry work on construction sites
  • Ordering and selecting timber and materials needed
  • Reviewing plans, drawings, and specifications accurately
  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials
  • Building structural frameworks and roof framing, installing subfloors and floorboards, and checking structural alignment and levelness
  • Ensure work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with building codes
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite

 

Skills and Experience

  • At least two years of relevant work experience in the same field OR;
  • A minimum relevant NZQCF Level 4 qualifications or above
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual work
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
