We have an exciting opportunity of Shop Manager to work in Auckland. We are looking someone confident, responsible person with a high attention for detail. This role requires you to be flexible with working hours which includes weekends including public holidays. This is a full-time vacancy which allows you to work for minimum 30 hours to 40 (Monday to Sunday), depending on business requirement.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with shoppers in a friendly, informed, and professional manner, assisting with product selection.

·        Maintain a clean and well-organized store environment, ensuring merchandise is properly shelved, stock levels are maintained, and price labelling is accurate.

·        Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain visually appealing product displays and promotional setups to boost customer interest and sales.

  • Utilize product knowledge and industry trends to highlight featured items, seasonal specials, and local favourites, contributing to a dynamic and engaging shopping experience

·        To be in charge of product buying process including product selection, product mix and envisaged stock levels and recorder levels.

·        Supplier relations/casting negotiating with suppliers for favourable terms of trade.

·        Stock entry, managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control.

·        Performing stock audits and stock takes.

·        To manage the business accordance to budget.

·        Managing staff issues, including roster, health and safety.

·        Supervisor junior staff, delegate duties to them and routinely evaluate their performance.

 

Key requirements

 

  • Should have at least 2 years of industry work experience or Level 5 Diploma or higher qualification (subject area flexible)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management skills
  • A proactive approach, motivation to achieve and improve continuously
  • Clean criminal record and Zero tolerance to drugs at workplace.

 

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level, it will range from $29 -$35 per hour.
