Position Details

• Employment type: Full-time, Permanent (minimum 30 hours per week)
• Location: Palmerston North
• Pay rate: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• Hours of work: rostered between 9am and 7pm, Monday to Sunday, including weekend and public holiday
• Number of positions: 1

Role Description

• Melody Nails & Spa is looking for one experienced Nail Technician to join our busy and growing salon located in Palmerston North.
• The Nail Technician will be responsible for delivering professional nail and beauty services in line with company standards, ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining the premium reputation of the salon.

Key duties include:

• Providing professional nail services, including manicures, pedicures, gel, acrylic, nail enhancements, and nail arts
• Have experience in SNS dipping powder, acrylic powder, gel polish, Builder Gel (BIAB)
• Be able to design and perform nail arts
• Consulting with clients regarding suitable nail treatments and styles
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and workstation presentation
• Ensuring tools and equipment are cleaned and sanitised in accordance with health and safety requirements
• Managing appointments efficiently and providing excellent customer service
• Contributing to a positive, professional, and team-focused salon environment
• Maintain inventory and a clean, safe workplace

Skills & Experience Required

Applicants must meet ONE of the following criteria:

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Nail Technician or in a closely related beauty role; OR
• A relevant qualification equivalent to a New Zealand Level 4 Certificate
• Applicant must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
