As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the financial management of the company and ensure accurate financial records and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Ø The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Key duties include:
Ø Maintaining and updating financial records using accounting software.
Ø Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Ø Preparing invoices, purchase orders, and bank deposit records.
Ø Reconciling company accounts with monthly bank statements.
Ø Monitoring cash flow and assisting management with financial tracking.
Ø Maintaining payroll records and assisting with payroll processing.
Ø Preparing financial reports, including profit and loss reports and expense summaries.
Ø Assisting with GST returns and ensuring compliance with New Zealand taxation requirements.
Ø Verifying recorded transactions and identifying discrepancies for management review.
Ø Maintaining organised financial files and supporting documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
Skills and Experience Required
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
Ø Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or
Ø If you do not have relevant qualification above, you mmust have at least 2–3 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Ø Experience with accounting software such as Xero or MYOB is preferred.
Ø Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
Ø Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ø Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Ø Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with management.
