Carpenters needed

Frondent Construction Ltd is a successful and well-established Auckland-based construction company. Our work locations are across the Auckland Region. We are looking for one full-time carpenter to join our team. This is a full-time position, offering at least 30 working hours per week and a maximum of 60 working hours per week. The workdays are from Monday to Saturday, with a rotating roster. 

The duties of the position include:

·      Review drawings and specifications to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation methods.

·      Order and select timber and building materials, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.

·      Prepare layouts, cut materials to size, and assemble components using nails, screws, and adhesives.

·      Construct and install framework, roof structures, sub-flooring, and floorboards, ensuring structural accuracy.

·      Install fascia panels, roof sheathing, exterior cladding, and door and window frames.

·      Assemble and fit pre-cut wood to form structures and fittings for installation.

·      Cut and shape wood joints for strong and secure connections.

·      Repair and modify existing fixtures and fittings.

·      Adhere to health and safety standards.

·      Other reasonable tasks required by management.

Requirements of the position include:

·       Have at least two years of work experience in construction work. 

·       At least level 4 qualification in construction-related field, or Bachelor Degree in any major can replace the work experience requirement above

·       Have good communication and coordination skills.

·       Have an attention to detail.

·       Be able to work independently.

·       Have your own transport.
