BAO HO TRADING LIMITED operates an established Auckland retail and wholesale business supplying a range of health products (including traditional remedies) and specialty goods, serving both local customers and broader distribution channels.

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sustainable growth across our wholesale, retail, and online channels. You will identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and strengthen key accounts—helping expand our market presence across New Zealand.

 

Key responsibilities

Develop and deliver business development plans to grow revenue, market share, and customer base

Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities, such as retailers, distributors, corporate accounts

Manage and grow key customer relationships, including pricing, promotions, and service levels

Negotiate commercial terms and supply agreements; oversee onboarding and account maintenance

Monitor sales performance and market trends; provide forecasts, reporting, and recommendations

Collaborate with operations and procurement to ensure product availability and stock planning

Support marketing activity to build brand awareness

Ensure all sales practices align with company policies and applicable NZ consumer/trading requirements

 

Skills and experiences requirements

A relevant qualification in Business or at least 3 years’ proven experience in business development, sales, or account management

Demonstrated success in building pipelines, closing deals, and growing accounts (B2B preferred)

Strong commercial acumen: pricing, margins, negotiation, and relationship management

Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills

Strong planning and reporting skills (CRM, Excel/Sheets, sales forecasting)

 

About the job

Guaranteed hours: Minimum 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday; occasional weekend/evening work may be required)

Salary range: NZD 85,000 to $115,000 per annum depending on experience

Reports to: Director
