Meat Workers

We are looking for motivated and reliable Meat Workers to join our team in Dannevirke. We have opportunities available in the following areas:

• Slaughterboard / Halal Slaughter – humane processing of livestock, including certified Halal slaughtering
• Further Processing – this includes a range of roles:
  • Butchery & Boning – breaking down carcasses, boning, cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products
  • Packing & Cleaning – packing, labelling, preparing products for distribution, and maintaining hygiene and clean work areas to meet food safety standards

About You

• Previous experience in meat processing, butchery, or food production is preferred but not essential
• Good knife skills and attention to detail (for butchery/boning/further processing roles)
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work in cold conditions and stand for long periods
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and conviction check
• Eligible to work in New Zealand
