Viento New Zealand Limited is seeking a Car Cleaner to join its team at Espresso Car Wash located at The Palms Shopping Centre, Christchurch. This is a full-time position suitable for a reliable individual who enjoys practical work and maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness.

Job Description

The Car Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning vehicles to ensure they are presented in a tidy and professional condition for customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up detailing Yard and maintain the best and well presented detailing yard
  • Clients – to exceed clients expectations in regard to all car detailing and services provided
  • Vehicle Detailing – to produce the best detailing whilst maintaining cost budgets
  • Team work – be a good team player aiming to exceed fellow staff members expectations.  To happily and professionally resolve any conflict by the end of the day’s service
  • Quality – to aim for the highest quality
  • Appearance/conduct – at all times act in the best interest of Espresso Carwash and maintain clothing to a high standard
  • Chemicals – To have a sound knowledge of all chemicals used and related health and safety procedures. Making sure all chemicals are stored safely

Employment Terms

• Position: Car Cleaner

• Job type: Full-time, permanent

• Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week

• Hourly pay range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour depending on experience

• Work schedule: The business operates 7 days a week from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and shifts will be rostered within these hours.

• Job location: Espresso Car Wash, The Palms Shopping Centre, Christchurch

Minimum Requirements

• Qualification: Minimum NZQF Level 1 qualification or equivalent.

• Training: On-the-job training will be provided.

• Physical ability:

  • Must be physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.

  • Must be able to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
