Unicorn Development Limited is a dynamic and growing construction company based in Auckland, delivering high-quality residential and light commercial projects across the region. Due to our expanding workload, we are seeking 3 experienced and reliable Carpenters to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and work from plans, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required and construction methods.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble timber and other materials.
  • Construct and install building frameworks, walls, roofs, doors, windows, and flooring systems.
  • Install formwork and reinforce concrete for foundations and other structural elements.
  • Repair and maintain wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure work complies with New Zealand building codes, safety standards, and company quality guidelines.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Hold a minimum relevant qualification equivalent to NZQCF Level 4 (e.g., Certificate in Carpentry), No specific major is required if you have a bachelor’s degree OR
  • Have at least one year of full-time relevant work experience as a Carpenter or in the same field.
  • Ability to follow construction plans and work independently or as part of a team
  • Good physical fitness and manual dexterity
  • Strong awareness of health and safety practices on construction sites
  • Punctual, reliable, and hardworking attitude
  • On the job training may be required by the team leader.
