Due to an increase in workload and expansion, we are seeking several aluminum fabricators, with working experience in aluminum products manufacture, such as aluminum gate and windows. Bring your "can do attitude”to this growing company at Wiri Auckland.

You will be rostered to work at least 30 hours per week for this busy role, full-time position, immediate start.

Job Description for this position

  • Studying drawings to determine job requirements

  • Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock

  • Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, and metal cutting machines

  • Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting

  • Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions

  • Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing and grinding

  • Assembly aluminum and steel window and gates on site

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants:

  • At least 2 year working experience in aluminum door & window manufacture

  • Can read and interpret plans/ engineering drawings

  • Health and safety conscious

  • Be able to work unsupervised and in a team both in the workshop and on the site

  • Be enthusiastic, motivated and show initiative

  • Work to a very high standard

  • Be self-motivated, punctual and ready to work

  • Be able to work the night shift and/or on the weekend

Other details:

Type: Full-time  30 - 50 hours per week

Location: Auckland

Depending on skills, experience and qualifications, the salary will range from $27.00 to $30.50
