Location: Hamilton, Waikato

Minimum Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay Rate: $30 – $35 per hour (depending on skills, qualification andexperience)

We are looking for a responsible and dedicated Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy Superette in Hamilton. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the store operates efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and effective stock and staff management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring high standards of customer service are maintained.

• Monitor stock levels, organise inventory replenishment, and determine appropriate product range and quantities based on customer demand.

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies, promotional activities, and pricing structures to support store performance.

• Promote store products and services through in-store displays and local advertising initiatives.

• Maintain accurate records relating to stock, sales, and financial transactions.

• Oversee store budgeting, monitor expenses, and ensure the business operates within financial targets.

• Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff to ensure efficient store operations.

• Ensure the store complies with workplace health and safety requirements and other regulatory obligations.

Requirements:

• A Diploma in Business Management or a related qualification, or a bachelors degree in any discipline OR

• At least 2 years of relevant retail industry experience, which may substitute for the qualification requirement.

• Strong organisational and leadership abilities.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage a small retail team.

• Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends.
