Hours: Minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week Pay rate: NZD $28.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience 

PSM Limited t/a HELL Pizza is seeking a full-time Cook to join our busy store in Henderson,  Auckland. This role is suited to a candidate who can work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial  kitchen and maintain consistent food quality, hygiene, and service standards across pizza,  pasta, sides, and related menu items. 

Key duties and responsibilities: 

• Examine food ingredients and foodstuffs to ensure freshness, quality, and suitability for  preparation and cooking 

• Prepare, portion, season and cook pizzas, pasta dishes, sides, sauces, and other menu  items in accordance with established recipes and store procedures 

• Prepare fresh pizza dough, roll and stretch bases, and assemble pizzas with required  toppings to meet brand and presentation standards 

• Prepare pizza sauces, pasta sauces, and other condiments or accompaniments used in  the kitchen in accordance with store recipes and specifications 

• Regulate temperatures of ovens and other kitchen equipment to ensure food is cooked  correctly, safely, and consistently 

• Cook pasta, pizza, side dishes, and other hot food items to required quality and portion  standards 

• Portion and present food items appropriately for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders 

• Store food in temperature-controlled facilities and ensure proper stock rotation and safe  food handling practices 

• Monitor food quality during preparation and service and make adjustments where  required 

• Maintain cleanliness of food preparation and cooking areas and comply with all food  safety, hygiene, and health and safety requirements 

• Assist with estimating food requirements, checking stock levels, minimising wastage,  and advising when ingredients need replenishment 

• Assist in training or supporting junior kitchen staff where required

Minimum requirements: 

Applicants must have: 

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience, or a Level 4 qualification or higher Applicants must also have: 

• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, kitchen operations, and safe  food handling practices 

• Ability to prepare a range of menu items in a busy quick-service hospitality environment • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistency and quality 

• Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays  as required 

• Good communication and teamwork skills
