Overall Objective

To perform day to day operation of the Stone Fabrication and Installation tasks, include operating stone machineries, maintaining machineries in good conditions; fitting, assembling and joining the stone parts. Reading accurately drawings, specifications and plans, and fabricating productions with a range of power tools and machines.

Specific Responsibilities

(a)   Responsible to the manager for managing the day-to-day operation of the stone fabrication and Installation work.

(b)   Performs strong skills for stone fabrication and Installation work, cutting, glanding, jointing. Fabricate productions with a range of power tools and machines.

(c)   Operate stone machineries well. Maintain stone Machineries in good conditions.

(d)   Read accurately drawings, specifications and plans. Works from blueprints, specifications and plans.

(e)   Unload stone slabs, delivery stone slabs in safety.

(f)    Don’t make any damage on sites.

(g)   Estimates materials required for specific job components.

(h)   Storage and manage the materials and tools well on workspace.

(i)     Maintains clean job site throughout duration and cleans up job site following work completion. Maintains safe working conditions for self and others. Stores and maintains supplies, tools and equipment.

(j)     Prepares reports and/or maintenance records, as needed.

(k)   Provides guidance to others who perform similar work. Sets priorities and timelines and monitors the work of others.

(l)     Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

(m) To take responsibility for heath and safety in the workspace as well as keeping it clean and tidy.

(n)   To be an effective team member in collecting, sharing information and supporting other team members and management, and ensuring continuous quality improvement in both the work environment and work practices.

(o)   To develop co-operative working relationships with other team members.

(p)  To be willing to participate in training team members.

Although onsite training will be provided, the successful applicant must have one of the following:

· Have a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent in this industry; or

· At least a two-year work experience in the same industry/field

· In all parts of daily work, pay close attention to details and deadlines

Our company provides an attractive and competitive income of $28-$30 per hour, based on your skill and experience.
