Ready Rides Pvt Limited is a growing taxi cab service committed to providing safe, reliable, and friendly transport across Kawakawa, Northland. We are seeking dependable Comapnion Driver to join our team, assisting clients with their travel needs while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience.

The candidate will be required to travel within the Northland region to perform their duties.

You will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Transport passengers safely to requested destinations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes to minimise travel time and ensure punctual arrivals.
  • Operate the taxi in accordance with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle and handling luggage where required.
  • Provide courteous, respectful, and professional customer service at all times.
  • Process fares accurately, including handling cash, EFTPOS, and electronic payments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle to a high standard.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Keep the vehicle fuelled and ready for operation during scheduled shifts.
  • Maintain accurate trip records, mileage logs, and required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local transport licensing requirements and industry regulations.

The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $25 to $35 per hour.

Requirements for the role:

  • Relevant work experience is highly preferred, but not mandatory.
  • NZ Full Class-1 Driver’s license or Overseas Driver’s license at least 2 years old (Equivalent to Class 1)
  • P-endorsement is required for this role, but if you don’t currently have it, we’ll be happy to assist you in obtaining it if selected.
  • Physically fit and capable of assisting clients.
  • Time management abilities.
  • Available to work on weekends
  • Available to work both day and night shifts
  • A clean driving record is required.
