Job Summary
Kauri Coast Pizzeria is seeking energetic Store Assistants to join our Dargaville team. As the face of our shop, you will provide exceptional service across our pizza, kebab, and chicken menus. Responsibilities include managing front-of-house duties, assisting with light food preparation, and maintaining a welcoming, clean environment. The ideal candidate reflects our commitment to quality and local hospitality while ensuring every customer enjoys a seamless experience in our fast-paced eatery.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and process point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Take phone orders and coordinate takeaways for efficient pickup.
- Assist with basic preparation of kebabs, salads, and side dishes.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food handling at all times.
- Clean dining areas, counters, and restrooms throughout the shift.
- Monitor and restock drinks, sauces, and packaging supplies as needed.
- Assist the store manager/Owner as required part of the role.
- Complete daily checklists to ensure the store is ready for trade.
Requirements
- Clear verbal communication skills for effective customer interaction.
- Strong reliability and commitment to scheduled shift times.
- Ability to stay calm and multitask during busy dinner rushes.
- Capacity to stand for long periods and perform light lifting.
- Willingness to support kitchen staff and follow management instructions.
